My name is Holly Gilvary. I am a journalist and communications professional based in southeastern Wisconsin, currently working as a city and county government reporter for the Racine Journal Times. I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and received my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Political Science from the University of Minnesota -  Twin Cities.

I have also reported for the Kenosha News, the Waukesha Freeman, the Oconomowoc Enterprise and Minnesota Monthly Magazine.

I care deeply about the communities I report on; no community is too small to deserve at least one engaged, thorough reporter to keep its residents informed. Along with a passion for local reporting, I enjoy covering political topics at the state and national levels.
